I’m not receiving the security code needed to set a new password. What do I need to do?

The security code required to set a new password for your institutional account is sent:

  • via SMS if the recovery attempt is made through the website myaccount.auth.gr after selecting “I forgot my password
  • via email to your institutional account or to the email address to which you have enabled email forwarding, if you want to change your password after successfully logging into the above website using your current password.

If you are not receiving the SMS with the security code, follow the steps below:

  1. Try another mobile phone number you may have, as a different mobile number might be registered in our information systems.
  2. If you have a greek phone number, make sure you do not have a block on five-digit codes by contacting your mobile provider, and then try sending the SMS again on the above website.
  3. If you have recently changed your mobile phone number, find here the options available.

**Please note that in some cases, problems with SMS delivery have been observed when the mobile number is not Greek. In such cases, you will need to contact us.
If you are not receiving the email with the security code and you have enabled message forwarding to an email address outside of AUTH, check your spam/junk mail folder.
