The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki has developed and maintains one of the largest Data Networks of its class in Europe. Its development began in 1993 and currently spans all the buidling complexes of the campus and peripheral sites.

• with 12.345 registered computers in operation
• distributed in 66 zones (3rd level domains: domain.auth.gr)
• in 141 IP subnets.
• and 133 physical ethernet LANs
• 12.923 network ports in the access network, with 163 nodes and 454 ethernet switches.
• The unified wireless access network coordinates 235 wireless access points.
