Windows Remote Desktop Access

Remote Access to Windows Servers via Remote Desktop for e-Learning and Remote Work
  • To support e-learning and remote work, the Digital Governance Unit (DGU) has developed a suite of systems that enable remote access to centrally managed servers, offering the following capabilities:

    • Seamless access to your personal storage (“Desktop” and “Documents”) as well as to shared group storage areas (files.auth.gr).
    • Remote use of all software provided by the Digital Governance Unit, including commercial office applications and scientific tools.
    • Enjoy a responsive and secure computing experience even on older desktops and laptops, regardless of operating system (e.g., Linux, macOS, Windows), by repurposing existing hardware.
    • Remotely access services available only within the university network, such as electronic resources, academic journals, and bibliographic databases.
    1. You must have an active institutional user account at AUTH.
    2. If you are accessing the service from outside the AUTH network, a VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection is required.
