To support e-learning and remote work, the Digital Governance Unit (DGU) has developed a suite of systems that enable remote access to centrally managed servers, offering the following capabilities:
- Seamless access to your personal storage (“Desktop” and “Documents”) as well as to shared group storage areas (files.auth.gr).
- Remote use of all software provided by the Digital Governance Unit, including commercial office applications and scientific tools.
- Enjoy a responsive and secure computing experience even on older desktops and laptops, regardless of operating system (e.g., Linux, macOS, Windows), by repurposing existing hardware.
- Remotely access services available only within the university network, such as electronic resources, academic journals, and bibliographic databases.
-
- You must have an active institutional user account at AUTH.
- If you are accessing the service from outside the AUTH network, a VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection is required.
