Zoom enables the organization of online meetings, classes, webinars, and remote collaboration activities in support of the teaching and educational responsibilities of academic staff.
Zoom Workplace fro Education Enterprise Essentials licenses are available, providing the ability to host:
with a duration of up to 30 hours and a maximum capacity of 500 participants.
In cases where a Zoom Webinar is expected to exceed 500 participants, a special webinar license is available through the Digital Governance Unit (DGU), allowing participation of up to 1,000 attendees.
There are no restrictions on participants (e.g. students) joining Zoom Meetings or Webinars.
The service is provided to support the University’s educational activities. Therefore:
For Zoom Webinars expected to exceed 500 participants, hosts must submit an application for a temporary Zoom Webinar 1000 license, which supports up to 1,000 attendees.
Other members of the AUTH community who do not hold a full Zoom license may still host Zoom sessions using their institutional account, with a maximum meeting duration of 40 minutes and up to 300 participants.
