VoIP Telephone connections with modern IP phone devices are provided in offices and shared spaces across AUTh facilities (both inside and outside of the AUTh campus).
VoIP telephony is not supported in University Hospital Clinics where AUTh does not maintain its own data network.
Please note that telephone-based systems such as alarm systems are not supported, as they require analog telephone lines, which cannot be provided due to technical limitations. As an alternative, any such equipment you acquire must be capable of operating over a data/internet network.
Personal Telephone Connection
To be eligible for a new personal telephone connection, the following conditions must be met:
Academic Staff (Faculty Members):
Faculty members may submit their request by completing the online application form, using their institutional credentials.
Administrative Staff:
Requests on behalf of administrative personnel must be submitted by the immediate supervisor of the relevant academic or administrative unit.
Telephone Connection in Shared Offices or Common Areas
A new telephone connection for a shared space or office may be requested by the head of the corresponding academic or administrative unit, provided that no existing telephone connection is present in the designated area. Should an additional line be required in a space that already has a connection, a separate request must be submitted for a paid telephone service.
Availability of Data Socket
In cases where no data socket is currently installed in the requested area, and all the aforementioned conditions are fulfilled, the request will be processed, subject to the feasibility of extending the network infrastructure to that location.
