Email Aliases

  • Email aliases follow the same format as standard email addresses, but are configured to forward incoming messages to multiple recipients simultaneously. This email alias service is intended primarily for units and project teams at AUTh, aiming to streamline communication both with the public and among members of these units.

If a unit/project team of AUTH activates an email alias, it benefits from the following features:

    • The email addresses of the message recipients are not publicly disclosed.
    • The recipients of the alias can be modified at any time without affecting the official contact address of the unit/action.
    • The alias can reflect the name or purpose of the unit/project (e.g., conference-2024@bio.auth.gr).
  • To request an email alias, you must:

    1. Hold an active institutional user account.
    2. Be a member of the permanent staff at AUTH.

Requests for official email addresses for units/subunits at AUTH must be submitted by their supervisor.

  • To request or modify an email alias, please submit the corresponding online request available at the top of the “Info” section.
