AUTh Server Digital Certificates
Issuance of digital certificates for servers to enable SSL/TLS security-
Πληροφορίες
Κατηγορία: Security
If you are a website or electronic service administrator and a member of the AUTH Academic Community, you are eligible to obtain server digital certificates. These certificates allow you to enable a level of SSL/TLS security, encrypting the data exchanged between an end user and the server.
This ensures that passwords and other sensitive information are always protected from interception during transmission, from the user’s device to the server.
-
Προϋποθέσεις
- The server for which the certificate will be issued must be properly registered in the AUTH Computer Registry.
- The administrator must be listed as the responsible person for that specific server.
Special conditions apply according to the policies and procedures of the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
-
Οδηγίες
To obtain a server digital certificate, you must follow the appropriate instructions depending on the service you wish to secure. Please refer to the relevant manuals in the “Documentation” section of this website.
Each digital certificate has a specific validity period, after which it expires. Fifteen days before expiration, the administrator is notified via email and may request the issuance of a new certificate.
In the event of loss of the private key or suspicion that someone has obtained the server’s private key, the administrator must immediately request the revocation of the server’s certificate!

Κανονισμός
