How to apply for your Academic ID (Paso)

Prerequisites

At first you have to make sure what is your exact academic title in the university.
- Log in at the website https://accounts.auth.gr using the username and the password of your institutional user account in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
- Check what’s written in the red box.
  - Προπτυχιακός φοιτητής = Undergraduate student.
  - Μεταπτυχιακος φοιτητής = Postgraduate student.
  - Υποψήφιος διδάκτορας φοιτητής = PhD student.
Depending on your academic title you either:
1. Undergraduate student → scroll down for the instructions.
2. Postgraduate student → open this file.
3. PhD student → open this file.

Undergraduate student

In order to complete your Academic ID (Paso) application, make sure you have:

An institutional user account (username, password and e-mail) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
A Greek cellphone number.
A digital photo of yourself (make sure you are looking straight into the camera, that the photo is at least 240 x 240 pixels, in jpg format and not larger than 3MB, against a neutral/white background, similar to a passport photo)

Visit the webpage of the Academic ID (Paso) here
On the right hand side of the screen, click on Εγγραφή/ Είσοδος (Register/ Login).
On the next page click on Προπτυχιακός Φοιτητής (Undergraduate Student), in the column on the right hand side of the screen.
Choose Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης/ Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from the drop-down menu and click on Επιβεβαίωση/ Confirm.
On the next page, enter the login credentials (Username & Password) of your institutional account and click on LOGIN.
On the next page you can see the terms and services, scroll down till the end of the text and then click on Συνέχεια Εγγραφής (Continue Registration).
Review your personal information and click on Συνέχεια (Continue). If the information displayed is not correct, click on Ακύρωση (Cancel) and contact the Information Technology Centre of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
On the next page, fill in and confirm your e-mail address in the fields E-mail and Επιβεβαίωση E-mailand Greek Cellphone Number, and fill in and confirm your Greek cellphone number in the fields Κινητό and Επιβεβαίωση Κινητού.
Then click on Αποθήκευση (Save).
In order to verify your e-mail address, please login to your e-mail account in a new browser tab or window.
When you receive an e-mail from no-reply@minedu.gov.gr click on the verification link they give you (if you don’t see the mail in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder).
Once you have received the above message, you can proceed with the application for your Academic ID.
On the Academic’s ID page, leave the ΑΜΚΑ field blank and click on Αποθήκευση (Save). Check the checkbox “Δηλώνω υπεύθυνα ότι δε διαθέτω Αριθμό Μητρώου Κοινωνικής Ασφάλισης (ΑΜΚΑ)” that will appear and click again on Αποθήκευση (Save).
Click on Προετοιμασία Αίτησης (Create application).
On the next page, check the checkbox Ον/μο μόνο στα λατινικά in order to type your name using Latin characters.
Fill in your first name (given name) in the Όνομα field and your last name (surname/family name) in the Επώνυμο field.
Fill in the street address and house number, of your house in Thessaloniki, in the Οδός- Αριθμός field.
Fill in your postal code in the T.K field. Select Θεσσαλονίκης in the fields Περιφερειακή Ενότητα and Καλλικρατικός Δήμος .
In the fields Μήνας πρώτης εγγραφής (εισαγωγής) and Έτος πρώτης εγγραφής (εισαγωγής) select the month and year you first registered at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
For example choose Σεπτέμβριος for September, Οκτώβριος for October or Φεβρουάριος for February and 2015 for the year.
In the field Τρέχον Εξάμηνο select 1 and check the Είμαι φοιτητής Erasmus checkbox if you are an Erasmus student.
Then click on Αποθήκευση & Συνέχεια (Save and continue).
Next, upload a colour passport style photo taken against a neutral/white background.
Click Browse and then select your photo file (the photo should be at least 240 x 240 pixels, in jpg format and less than 3MB).
After you have selected your photo file click on Αποστολή Φωτογραφίας (Send photo).
Use the tool in the following step to crop your photo if necessary, and click on Διόρθωση Φωτογραφίας in order to save your editing.
If the photo is OK, click Αποθήκευση & Συνέχεια (Save & Continue).
Select the Vodafone store where you would like your Academic ID to be printed and from where you will also collect it.
Choose Θεσσαλονίκης in the fields Περιφερειακή Ενότητα and Καλλικρατικός Δήμος in order to see all the Vodafone stores in the centre of Thessaloniki.

You can see the street address of the store in the column Στοιχεία Διεύθυνσης, and the pending number of Academic IDs they have to print in the column Εκκρεμείς προς παράδοση Ακαδ. Ταυτότητας.
You can view the store on the map by clicking the magnifying glass in the last column.
When you have selected the Vodafone store you want, click on Επιλογή (Choose).
On the next page, you can review full details of the selected Vodafone store.
Click on Αποθήκευση & Συνέχεια ( Save & Continue) to proceed.
You can review your application details and then click on Αποθήκευση & Συνέχεια ( Save & continue) to proceed.
A warning message will appear at the top of the webpage prompting you to click on Οριστική Υποβολή Αίτησης in order to finalise the submission of your application.
Check the Βεβαιώνω, εν γνώσει των νομικών συνεπειών περί ψευδούς δηλώσεως, ότι όλα τα στοιχεία της αίτησης μου είναι ακριβή και ορθά checkbox and click Οριστική Υποβολή Αίτησης.
In the pop-up box that appears, click OK .
Your application has now been completed! A green sign will appear at the top of the screen and you will receive an e-mail with details of your application.
You now have to wait at least a week before receiving an SMS and an e–mail message indicating that your Academic ID (Paso) is ready for collection at the Vodafone store you selected.
